Wc have since been advised by tin: county trustee of the property in question, that lot 23 has been <br />appraised at $6,000.00. It is also the opinion of tliis individual, that the only uc can procure legal <br />use of this driveway, is to purchase the entire lot, which would require a resolution from the city of Orono <br />to: A approve reconvey ance (in which case they would have to contact the county assessor's office for the <br />proper forms), B approve a lot split of lot 23, block 7, Cry'stal Bay View (according to city procedures), <br />and C. if Orono has a housing and redevelopment authority, approve our request that they sell the lot to <br />us, afler tliey buy it from the county The city council resolution should reflect this process. We intend to <br />add the lot to our homestead lot description, w hich will further ensure that we are not interested in <br />selling off part of the property, or profiting from this process in any other way, than to have legal use of <br />the driveway. <br />Please advise us when wc can meet with the city council in order to resolve this issue. <br />Thank you for your time and attention. <br />SiiKcrety, <br />Nancy Krause and Dan Handlin <br />i
