The interior p^atgrials used in the arena should be durable and easily main <br />tainable. while contributing light reflectance and color necessary to create a <br />welcoming environment for patrons and spectators. The following are <br />conceptual assumptions selected to balance the design goals with the project <br />budget. This would include an exposed masonp' <br />veneer of brick with a cavity, rigid insulation and a back-up structure of <br />concrete block. Above 15'. and on the arena enclosure, will be be an extenor <br />insulation finish system (EIFS) with concrete block or metal stud back-up. <br />Flat roofs use a single-ply. mechanically-fastened Ethylene PropyUne Diene <br />Terpolymer Membrane (EPDMl roofing system. The sloping roof over the <br />arena will incorporate prefinished metal standing seam. .All roofing maten- <br />als/systems will carry a manufacturer s warranty for up to 20 yea.'S. <br />Windows in the lobby and east face of the arena will be fi.xed. aluminum <br />thermally -broken swith high efficiency gLss.
