The intent is to merely incorporate the entire existmg school c^pus <br />within the MUSA, to provide District 278 the HexibUity it may require for ftiture <br />school facility development. <br />All of this 56 acres is zoned RR-IA, Single Faimly Rural Residential use. TJe <br />Comprehensive Plan in Map 21 (Existing Land Use) and Map 7 (land Vx Plan) <br />land now being proposed for MUSA inclusion, and this land has been contmuously <br />used for school purposes. <br />D. Additional Needs <br />1 This is an existing residence on a 2 acre lot situated adjacent to an existing sewer <br />line which was constructed in 1973. While this property was neither assessed <br />for sewer nor included in the MUSA at that time, two sewer smbs were provided <br />in the street specifically to serve the property at a later date. <br />The owner has requested that this property be included in the MUSA since it is <br />his expectation he will be faced with having to replace his 20-plus <br />system in the near fumre and would prefer the option of sewer. This MUSA <br />addition is to merely serve one existing residence. The owner would be expected <br />to pay a connection charge if and when he makes use of the existing sewer. <br />2 Additional Undefined Units , <br />The City is requesting that Metropolitan Council approve an additional 50 <br />"undefined ” sewer units for fumre use by the City as individual connection requests <br />occur. Often properties outside the MUSA but simated adjacent to existing se-ver <br />lines wish to make use of the sewer, and can physically do so without the need for <br />Citv extension of sewer laterals.
