WETLANDS DATA, Minneapolis, MN delineated and docLwnented <br />wetlands boundaries on the subject property on April 18th and 19th, 1996 at the <br />request of Jim Penning. This report provides information as to the dominant wetland <br />characteristics at the site as result of the investigation The parameters of the <br />wetland/upland boundaries are provided in each delineation report form as this <br />information is redundant below. Please review documentation of these findings <br />(referenced in report and site plan). A sketch of the staked wetland boundaries is <br />included in the report. <br />I <br />LOCATION <br />W1/2, NW1/4, NWl/4 <br />Section 6 <br />T117, R23 <br />Hennepin County. Minnesota <br />METHODOLOGY <br />Wetlands were identified and delineated using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands <br />Delineation Manual (U S. Army Corps of Engineers, 1987) Revisions to the former <br />method have been proposed by the U S. Environmental Protection Agency and are <br />currently under review. Pending the adoption of these revisions, the U.S. army Corps <br />of Engineers is applying the 1987 Corps Wetlands Delineation Manual. The wetland <br />and/or deep water habitat were classified according to the methodologies set forth in <br />Wetlands of the United States (USFWS Circular 39, Shaw and Fredine. 1971) and <br />Classification of Wetlands and Deep water Habitats of the United States (FWS/OBS <br />Publication 79/31; Cowardin et. al.1979). <br />CHARACTERISTICS OF WETLANDS INVESTIGATED <br />Transect A.#l <br />This is a Type Six (PSSiBd) wetland checksite. Dominant species are Box Elder <br />(FACW), Pussy Willow (FACW), Sandbar Willow (OBL) and Reed Canary Grass <br />(FACW+). Black Willow (OBL) is less common. Soils are Hamel, a wetland soil. <br />Surface hydrology evidence is met, as soil is saturated. <br />Transect A.#ll <br />This is a Type Two (PEMIBd) wetland checksite. Dominant species are Sandbar <br />Willow (OBL) and Reed Canary Grass (FACW+). Soils are Hamel, a wetland soil. <br />Surface hydrology is met. Site Is saturated.
