Navarre Housing Study <br />Navarre contains the bulk of what can be considered affordable housing in Orono. <br />Affordable housing is defined as $115,000 per unit in this part of Twin Cities <br />metropolitan area according to the Metropolitan Council. The houses in the area are <br />generally smaller and more affordable than other houses elsewhere in the community and <br />lake area. <br />The city is required to update the comprehensive plan and address housing issues. Orono <br />is woridng with other Lake Minnetonka area communities to develop a housing plan. It is <br />expected to be initiated in January and completed within six months. <br />4
