Pl^tteter on October 27, 1995, filed a for.Tial subdi vision <br />application the City for approval of a two lot residential plat of propert>’ legal!) described as; <br />Tl:c South 354.75 feet of the East 990 feet, except the North 150 feet of the East 323.4 fee <br />thereof, of the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter ol Section 27, XoN'Ti.ship 113 <br />North. R.ange 23 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, (hereinafter "the picpert> ’’ ); and <br />W'HEREAS, after due published and mailed notice in accordance with Minnesota <br />Statutes 462.-358 et. seq. and the City of Orono’s zoning, platting and on-site septic codes, tlie Orono <br />Planning Commission held a public hearing on November 20, 1995, at which time all persons <br />de.siring to be heard concerning this application were given the opportunit)' to spe.*!!: thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, at their regular meeting held on December 11. 1995. the Orono City <br />Council considered the subdivision application of Dennis L. Plattcter noting the folloo ing findings <br />of fact; <br />The property is located within the RR-IB Single Frjniiy Rural Residential Zoning <br />District rcv]uiring a minimum of 2 acres of diy contiguous buildable land within each <br />r.ewlv created lot. <br />The property contains a total of approximately 5.64 acres, all of which is considered <br />dry buildable. <br />Tl'.e proposed plat contains two lots each meeting or exceeding the 2 acre minhrium <br />lot area reauirement.4 <br />The property is located in the Shoreland Overlay District. Lot 1 is a la.keshore lot <br />contiguous with Dickey Lake, a natural en\ironment lake.
