If thi') b not desirable for the health or survival of the replacement <br />frees, said trees shall be replanted clsev^here within the "T” Zone from which <br />the trees were removed. If this is also undesirable for die health or survival <br />of the replacement trees, then the replanting may occur outside of the <br />designated "T” Zone but shall occur within the development. If this is not <br />desirable for the health or survival of the replacement trees, then the <br />landowner shall consult and work with the City to determine a better <br />alternative planting location for the replacement trees. <br />Any replanting shall be done with trees of the primary species of the aflected <br />forest. At planting, the trunks of deciduous trees shall be at least two and <br />one-half inches (2-1/2) in diameter as measured six (6) inches above the <br />ground. Coniferous trees shall be at least five (5) feet in height. A <br />performance surety shall be provided to guarantee the proper installation and <br />vigorous growth of all replacement trees and shall be in confoimance with <br />Section 375:12, Subd. 21(k) of this Ordinance. <br />Replacement trees shall be identified as such until they are eight (8) inches <br />in DDH, shall be considered at least eight (8) inches in DBH regardless of <br />size and shall be treated accordingly for purposes of this Section 375:109. <br />If any replanting is to occur outside the limits of the ’*T” Zone, the parcel on <br />which the replanting occurs shall be rezoned so as to be governed by the <br />provisions of the "T'' Zone, or a covenant acceptable to the City shall be <br />recorded by the property owner so as to make the provbions of this Section <br />375:109 applicable to the parcel on which the repl^ting occurs. <br />(Added, Ord.
