The deeds between <br />the former property owner and railroad were executed in July of 1980. The <br />fcilowing ordinances are pertinent foi this review: <br />1. Nelson <br />Survey/Subdivision of a Lot Line Rearrangement <br />Review of Application <br />The applicant and new owner of property has filed a subdivision application with the City in <br />order to complete the process begun back in July of 1980. The owner in 1980 failed to file <br />the required subdivision application with the City and as a result, the real estate taxes have <br />never been adjusted nor does the Hennepin County Plat Map reflect the division, refer to <br />Exhibit B. <br />A title company has been working with the applicant and City to complete the filing of the <br />subdivision application. Burlington Northern no longer owns the railroa.'. line. The current <br />owner. Rail America (formerly Dakota Rail), has received copies of the legal notice and staff <br />memo. It is not clear whether the title company has been in contact with Rail America.
