Our Board of <br />■------------' Directors has evaluated this proposed and unanimously voted to accept the offer and <br />submit it to NorAm stockholders for approval. This was announced on Monday, <br />August 12. <br />Although I don't anticipate this consolidation of comparues will affect, in any way, the <br />seiA'ice we are privileged to provide your community, I wanted you to have the details <br />of this proposed merger. I have taken the liberty to enclose with this letter a copy of the <br />press release announcing this event. I have also included fact sheets and other data for <br />your information. <br />The local gas distribution companies, which are NorAm subsidiaries, will retain their <br />sepcirate identities and organizations.
