Mr. Michael P. Gaffron
June 27, 1996
Page 2
Essentially, our proposal is to have a handicap dock on the west side of our property. As you
Ttiay know, the l^d slopes downward from cast going west. The house is on the east part of the
property at high elevation. Our members are of an age presently where our parents are somewhat
infrim. It would really help us to be able to off load the handicapped people and wheel them
up to the house, or let them walk up the gradual slope to the house. Under the present
configuration, we must carry them in their wheelchairs up the long stairways at the bases of
Docks A and B. If the handicap dock is approved, this will eliminate that hazardous (and very
scary) process.
I did not know whether we would owe any additional fee or not and have left that part of the
application blank. If we do owe an additional fee, simply call me at 338-1330 and I will be sure
a check is issued to you. I have yet to contact Gregory S. Nybeck of the LMCD, but we are
trading calls at this point.
Thank you for your attention to this.
Very truly yours.
Mark Scholle
Secretary
MS:cs
enclosures
