Staff has advised <br />the property owners at 2775 Silver View Drive and 2790 Silver View Drive of the city ’s <br />intention to initiate eminent domain proceedings. Efforts to acquire the easements through <br />negotiations aie continuing. The property owner at 2775 Silver View Drive is preparing a <br />proposal that will include the purchase of the permanent easement and some level of tree <br />replacement. <br />In order to move ahead with the eminent domain process, resolutions authorizing the taking of <br />the land by eminent domain are required. The authorizing resolutions for the easements on 2775 <br />Silver View Drive and 2790 Silver View Drive are attached for Council adoption. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt resolutions authorizing the permanent taking of land by eminent domain for trail <br />purposes for the Old Crystal Bay Road Bike/Hike Trail project at 2775 Silver View Drive and <br />2790 Silver View Drive.
