A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTIONS 10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (C), <br />10.22, SUBDIVISIONS 1 AND 2, <br />10.55, SUBDIVISION 8, AND <br />10.56, SUBDIVISION 16 (L) <br />FILE NO. 2137 <br />WHEREAS, William Dunkley and Susan Dunkley (hereinafter "the applicants") <br />are the owners of the property located at 2709 Walters Port Lane located within the City of <br />Orono (hereinafter "the City") and legally described as follows; <br />Lot 4, Block 3, Walters Port. Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the <br />property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.03, Subdivision 14 (C) to allow lot coverage by structures to increase <br />from the current level of 15.6% to 16.7% where only 15% lot coverage is normally allowed, <br />and to Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 (A) to allow construction of a room addition located 40' <br />from the shoreline of Lake Minnetonka where a 75’ setback is normally required, and to Section <br />10.22, Subdivision 1 (B) to allow encroachment of the average lakeshore setback where no such <br />encroachment is normally allowed, and to Sections 10.22, Subdivision 2, 10.55, Subdivision 8 <br />and 10.56, Subdivision 16 (L) to allow an intensification of hardcover in the 0-75' lakeshore <br />setback zone where no hardcover is normally allowed, all of the above variances required for <br />construction of a room addition housing swimming facilities attached to the existing residence <br />structure. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />2. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2137. <br />The property is located in the LR-IB Single Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Page 1 of 5 <br />1 <br />k.........
