North Ferndale is basically a residential street and its
resitlents would be severely impacted if ramps are installed
at the 394 overpass.
2. Highway 101 is already a good connector between County Road
6 and 394.
3. The stop lights at 101 and 6 provide breaks in the traffic for
those of us living on County Road 6 to get out of our driveways.
I he increased traffic on County Road 6 will make that even rrtotr
dillicult. Increased traffic on N. Ferndale would tend to smooth
out the breaks and make egress even more difficult for those of us
on 6.
4. Mooney Lake, in the NW quadrant of County Road 6 and 101,
has an increasing high water problem which the Minnehaha Water
'^hed District and The DNR are studying. The widening of County
Road 6 will aggravate the situation. I hope that the engineers will
have this in mind and consult with the DNR on this issue.
5.I have approximately 8 acres of restored prairie on County Road
G which was established beginning in 1970. I hope that I don’t have
to give more than my share for the widening of County Road 6. The
prairie is a unique feature for all to see. It takes a lot of work to
maintain it and even more to reestablish it.
