1 • <br />Request for Council Action continued <br />of^' ^ <br />May 20, 1996 <br />1997-99 Urban Hennepin County Joint Cooperation Agreement (CDBG) <br />Orono’s CDBG allocation has enabled it to fund, on a small scale, annual housing rehabilitation <br />projects. The consolidated pool will eliminate this guaranteed funding amount. However, with <br />some effort to identify housing rehabilitation needs, it may be possible for the city to be <br />successful in obtaining sufficient grant monies to accomplish in one year what under the current <br />system would have taken five or more years. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to adopt the attached resolution authorizing the execution of a joint cooperation <br />agreement between the city of Orono and Hennepin County tor continued participation in the <br />Urban Hennepin Community Development Block Grant program and authorizing the Mayor and <br />City Administrator to sign the cooperation agreement.
