The condition of the drive located within the
unimproved dedicated right-of-way (Park Avenue) at a 30‘ width is not surfaced nor is it clear
whether the actual traveled drive is located within the public right-of-way or adjacent private
properties.
At the April 15, 1996 meeting of the Planning Commission many of you attended the public hearing
for the renewal variance application of Richard Clifford. You all raised concerns with the current
condition of the driveway and the proposed increase in use. Staff advised that the City Council at
a future meeting may be asked to consider the issue of the e.xisting drive and possible need to
upgrade the access. City staff would like to meet with all persons involved with either the current
or proposed use of the existing drive. We suggest that a meeting be held at the City offices the week
of April 29th and that residents advise staff as to the time of day at which members may wish to
meet to discuss the concerns raised at the Planning Commission meeting. Staff would offer to meet
in the evening at 6:00 p.m. or an early morning meeting at 7:00 a.m. if regular work hours arc
inconvenient.
Telephone (612) 473-7357 • FAX 473-0510
