MN 55323 <br />Subject: Application for Planning Commission Opening <br />• • <br />Dear Orono Officials: <br />I would like to apply for an opening on the Orono Planning Commission. As you are <br />probably aware, over the last three plus years I have become introduced to various Orono <br />regulations governing a number of issues as we have made improvements to our 100 year <br />old house and guest house. During this time I was granted numerous approvals which 1 <br />believe to be good for the city and us. Your rulings were made with sound, practical <br />decisions, and they could have just as easily went the other way if common sense and <br />logic were not used. 1 would like to maintain that process by offering some time to <br />Orono, and to try to complement my civic interest with my civic responsibility. <br />As the President/CEO of Summit Envirosolutions. Inc., a national environmental <br />engineering and consulting company, 1 believe 1 have been introduced to many challenges <br />which regulations, developers, construction, and people pose. 1 would like to learn more, <br />and experience a community responsibility with Orono and give some time back to my <br />city which was clearly there when we needed them for us. <br />1 look forward to learning about various items which make our city unique, and help <br />pre.serve its beauty and natural resources, while at the same time permitting planned, <br />diversified, regulated development. <br />Please consider my enclosed application for the Orono Planning Commission.
