BIEKER CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPLICATION (CITY
#2111), PERMANENT DOCK, LAKE MINNETONKA - LAFAYETTE BAY (27-
133-25), CITY OF ORONO, HENNEPIN COUNTY
Dear Ms. Mabusth:
I have reviewed the attachments you forwarded on February 2, 1996
for the Terrance Bieker dock application at 2440 Old Beach Road.
The proposed permanent dock configuration do^ require a DNR permit
since it is not a single linear structure. However, the proposed
4 foot wide dock that extends 36 feet waterward of the ordinary
high water elevation (of 929.4') could be constructed without a DNR
permit if the two proposed 6 foot wide sections are not constructed
or are seasonal structures.
You are also advised that the Lake Minnetonka Conservation District
may require approval for the proposed permanent dock, as currently
configured.
I am including a brochure that summarizes what can be done without
a DNR permit with the Bieker's copy of this letter.
Please contact me at 772-7910 should you have any questions
regarding these comments.
Sincerely,
Ceil Strauss
Area Hydrologist
CCS
c:Terrance Bieker, 2440 Old Beach Road (with enclosure)
Lake Minnetonka Conservation District
Orono Shoreland File
AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
