Enclosed with this letter, please find our variance application, <br />hardship statement, and a recent photo (complete with in-laws) of the structure. Please let <br />us know prior to the planning commission meeting if more information is required. <br />In summary, we would like to repair it as it was prior to the fire with no modifications <br />anticipated. The majority of the structure is fine, although smoke damage will require all <br />new interior siding (exterior is fine on about 80% of the building), and the foundation <br />appears to be in fine shape on the portion most heavily affected by the fire. <br />m <br />We were very appreciative of Orono granting us the variance, CUP and building permits <br />last year for the improvements. The guest house was a wonderful place for my family, <br />friends and neighbors to utilize. It was the focal point of our summer outdoor activities <br />and parties. Almost too good to be true.
