MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 22,1996 <br />I <br />m <br />OTY ADMINISTRATOR’S REPORT <br />(#4) TAX FORFEIT PROPERTY <br />RELEASE TO ADJACENT OWNERS - RESOLUTION #3668 <br />WITHHOLD FROM AUCTION <br />Moorse reported that the City has indicated it is not interested in obtaining the three tax <br />forfeit properties listed in the m^mo but did ask the County to hold off from offering two <br />of the properties for sale to the public until certains issues were resolved The City asked <br />the Countv to correct the classification on the third prooertv so the parcel would not need <br />to go tax forfeit. <br />Jabbour said he was in support of the gas station being brought to a suitable condition. <br />Mabusth noted that the County has funds available for this to be accomplished. <br />Hurr moved, Goetten seconded, to adopt the Resolution #3668 reflecting Staffs <br />recommendation regarding the parcel with P.I.D. 03-117-23 24 0004; and to authorize <br />Staff to submit a letter to the County recommending parcels 10-117-23 42 0022 and 33- <br />118-23 43 0016 be withheld from auction for up to one year. <br />Callahan asked if the County was aware of the one property being residential. Mabusth <br />indicated Staff has made that very clear. <br />Vote: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br />(#5) HIGHWAY 12 MORATORIUM - ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #144, 2ND <br />SERIES <br />Callahan reported that the amendment was to allow the Highway 12 corridor <br />development moratorium to be extended. Callahan said the committee membership is <br />Callahan, Gcettcn, and Kelley of the Council and Peterson, Lindquist, and Smith of the <br />Planning Commission. Callahan asked that a meeting be scheduled for Monday, .>anuarv <br />29, 8:00 a m. <br />Goetten asked if it was possible to have an update or: the information. Moorse said he <br />would get the information to her. <br />Callahan moved, Jabbour seconded, to adopt Ordinance No. 144, Second Series, <br />extending the Highway 12 Corridor Moratorium to July 22, 1996. Vote: Ayes 4, Nays <br />0.
