AGENDA ITEM
Prepared By: mcc Reviewed By: LLO Approved By:

setback, average lake setback, and hardcover within the 75-foot lake setback. The proposed lake stairs,
shed, and deck will be addressed with an administrative building permit.

5. Public Comment. On Monday, July 31st, Staff attended a meeting on site between the neighbors at
2813 Casco Point Road. The property owner, and their engineer addressed the neighbors’ questions in the
field. No written comments have been submitted.

6. Staff Recommendation. Replacement of the destroyed walls is essential due to the bluff and steep
nature of the slope on the property as well as the immediately adjacent neighboring properties. Further,
removal of the pre-existing burned wall materials and replacement of soil was required in order to assure
the new walls would be structurally stable to support the slope. The variance to permit the expanded
retaining wall structure within the bluff and 75-foot lake setback will help to maintain the existing slope
and character of the area.

Planning Staff has prepared a revised resolution for Council’s consideration. An as-built survey will be
required upon completion of the construction on site. Staff recommends approval of Resolution No. 7387,
as amended.

COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED
Council should adopt Resolution No. 7387, as amended.

Exhibits
A.
