'■I <br />Mr. Jim Hafner <br />September 24.1997 <br />Pages <br />mustard, wood violet, staghorn sumac, American basswood, bedstraw, honeysuckle, currant, red oak, <br />lopseed, enchanter’s nightshade, bluegrass, and creeping bellflower. <br />Soils and hydrology information above and below the wetland boundary were recorded for one <br />representative transect along the northern border of the basin and can be found on the attached data form <br />for Basin B. The wetland boundary primarily follows a change in topography and a change from reed <br />canary grass, willow, and purple loosestrife in the wetland to deciduous woodland on the adjacent <br />upland. <br />CONCLUSIONS <br />The weUand boundary staked in the field for Basin B generally corresponds to NWI mapping, however. <br />Basin A does not show up on the NWI map. Both basins occur Avithin the same mapped hydric sotl area <br />(marsh) The OHWL for Basin B (DNR Protected Water 914W) has not been set by the DNR, but the <br />DNR lists the basin as a 2.5 acre Type 3 wetland with a 100 year flood elevation of 935.5 and a 10 year <br />flood elevation of 934.8. <br />The wetland boundaries were marked using pink “wetland delineation pin flags. All flags were located <br />by professional surveyors and are recorded on the attached Existing Conditions Map. Approximate <br />transect sampling points arc recorded on the map as well. Note that preliminary site plans do not involve <br />wetland encroachment. <br />Please call me at 937-5150 if you have any questions regarding this delineation.
