Gaffron <br />November 12,1997 <br />TCroiby@^acgr«.ooiiL <br />612/336-3127 <br />Assistant Planning & Zoning Administrator <br />City of Orono <br />2710 Kelley Parkway <br />Orono, MN 55391 <br />Re: Spring Golf Club <br />Pedestrian Underpass <br />Dear Mike; <br />As I Indicated to you on the telephone, Gary Gandrud of this ofHce and Tim <br />Johnson met with a representative of Hennepin County on November 10,1997 to determine <br />whether or not a direct contractual relationship with Hennepin County on the County Road 6 <br />underpass could be made thereby eliminating the need for participation by the City of Orono. <br />At that meeting the following documents were given to Hennepin County: <br />1. <br />2. <br />A proposed agreement between Spring Hill and Hennepin County; <br />The typing draft of that agreement showing the changes from the document <br />prepared by the County for use with the City of Orono; and <br />3.A copy of Chapter 429, Minnesota Statutes which indicates that Hennepin <br />County does have the ability to assess the Spring Hill property for work related <br />to the tunnel. <br />is possible. <br />The County is in the process of determining whether or not a direct relationship <br />Spring Hill wants Orono to know that the discussions are taking place. By <br />telephone yesterdsty I informed Gabriel Jabbour and Dick Flint of the discussions. <br />These documents will indicate to you the nature of the relationship proposed <br />which is essentially the same as would have existed if the City of Orono had been involved. <br />Minneapolis Denver Des Moines London Frankfurt Almaty
