\ <br />Hennepin County <br />^Opportuoilj Implcyer <br />n r CITY OFL .1 c=-vo ) <br />o <br />In'S- •1 October 6, 1997 <br />RECONSTRUCTION OF COUNTY ROAD 6 FROM <br />TOWN LINE ROAD TO ORCHARD PARK ROAD OCT 9 U9( <br />Dear Resident: <br />The purpose of this letter is to update the residents along County Road 6 as to the status of the <br />reconstruction of the roadway. <br />Currently Hennepin County Department of Public Works is in the process of advertising for <br />bids. It is anticipated that the reconstruction project will be awarded to a contractor in <br />December. The actual roadway construction should start in April, 1998. <br />Prior to the start of construction, real estate transactions need to occur between property <br />owners affected by the road reconstruction and the Hennepin County Real Estate Division in <br />order to obtain all the necessary right of way and easements for the project. If Hennepin <br />County needs to acquire property or easements from you due to this project a Hennepin County <br />Right of Way Agent will be contacting you within the next month to discuss your acquisition. If <br />you want to talk directly to the Real Estate Manager, please call Dave Swenson at 348-2199 to <br />discuss your real estate concerns <br />At public meetings during the approval process for this project, our expectation was that <br />affected property owners would have been contacted by Hennepin County Right of Way Agents <br />early summer of 1997. Due to the complexity of the permit requirements for this project, delays <br />occurred that affected potential easement requirements, which in turn affected the project <br />schedule. W e apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. <br />The approval process for the reconstruction of County Road 6 has been long and arduous to all <br />the participants and affected property owners.
