In <br />December the City Council approved the layout for this improvement project, which requires <br />variances due to wetland filling and flood plain impacts, and which requires a conditional use <br />permit because it involves movement of earth in excess of 100 cubic yards. <br />The primary wetland impact is filling of 0.56 acres of City protected wetland, plus an additional <br />0.25 acres of Wetland Conservation Act wetlands not protected by Orono historically.
