■‘■1 <br />II. Summary and Recommendations <br />i <br />The rehabilitation of the Navarre WTP is feasible from an engineering standpoint. The project is <br />necessary to extend the useful life of the water treatment plant an additional 20 to 25 years. The <br />capital cost as well as operation and maintenance costs have been considered in determining that the <br />project is cost effective. The cost of these improvements are interrelated and should be assigned <br />equitably between all properties. The following recommendations are presented for consideration <br />by the Orono City Council: <br />1.That this Report be adopted as the guide for rehabilitation of the water treatment <br />plant. <br />2. That a public hearing be held on the proposed improvements. The following cost <br />estimates should be used for hearing purposes: <br />Table 1.
