Addendum: <br />On August 20, 1997 the Building Department found the remains of the structure <br />jacked up in the air. Since the approved plans submitted for the building permit did <br />not include this work a Stop Work order was posted. The owner was contacted and <br />asked to come before the Council to address the concerns of the City as itemized in <br />the previous memo. <br />The following day the property owner, David Rahn, called the Building Official to <br />tell him he had taken down the Stop Order, and that his foundation contractor had <br />come back to the jobsite and laid a couple more courses of block. The site was <br />reinspected by the Building Department. Two full courses of new block were in <br />place on top of the old foundation. We have no way of knowing if the other <br />recommendations of the engineer have been followed, as the necessary inspections <br />were not called for. <br />Mr. Rahn will be tagged for removing a Stop Order, and for working after a Stop <br />Order was posted. <br />'I
