Request for Council Action Continued page 2 of 2 <br />June 17,1997 <br />Local Performance Aid Certification <br />city can make this affirmation for the 1998 LPA if it is in the process of developing <br />performance measures. For 1999 LPA, the performance measures must be in place. <br />The city must indicate what program or programs will be funded by Local <br />Performance Aid, or for which program or programs the Local Performance Aid will <br />be used to establish performance measurement systems. It is recommended the city <br />indicate police and public works programs since they are the largest part of the city's <br />budget. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends continuing to participate in the LPA program and moving ahead with efforts to <br />develop performance measures. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to authorize the Mayor and one Councilmember to sign the LPA certification.
