r <br />i f <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING <br />THE CONTRACT FOR THE <br />INSTALLATION OF SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS <br />IN THE BRACKETTS POINT AND BAY RIDGE AREAS <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the installation of sanitary <br />sewer improvements in the Bracketts Point and Bay Ridge improvement areas, bids were received, <br />opened and tabulated according to law; and <br />WHEREAS, it appears that Barbarossa & Sons, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota is <br />the lowest responsible bidder. <br />Minnesota: <br />1. <br />3. <br />1997. <br />NOW, THLUEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a <br />construction contract with Barbarossa & Sons, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota, in <br />the name of the City of Orono for the installation of sanitary sewer improvements <br />in the Bracketts Point and Bay Ridge areas according to the plans and specifications <br />therefor approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Clerk <br />in the amount of $523,740.00. <br />The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders <br />the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder <br />and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. <br />This resolution to award the construction contract for these improvements is <br />contingent on receipt of Petitions for Local Improvements from all of the project <br />area residents. Upon receipt of all the Petitions, this contract will be executed. <br />Adopted by the Orono City Council at a regular Council meeting held on June 23, <br />ATTEST: <br />Dorothy M.
