r <br />;, <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />A VARIANCE TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.28, SUBDIVISION 5 <br />FILE #2250 <br />WHEREAS, Steve Polansky and Ellen Polansky (hereinafter "the applicants") <br />are owners of the property located at 1900 Fox Ridge Road within the City of Orono <br />(hereinafter "City") and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 5, Block 1, Fox Ridge, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the CiU for a variance from <br />Municipal Zoning Code Section 10.28, Subdivision 5 to add » li'Jrd .jtall to an existing garage <br />and to extend an existing porch 5'. A variance to reduce ihc required rear yard from 50’ to <br />38' (porch) and 35' (garage) is required. <br />Minnesota: <br />N^W, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />FINDINGS <br />1. <br />2. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2250. <br />The property is located in the RR-IB, where the minimum lot area requirement <br />is 2 acres. <br />3.The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on June 16, 1997 and <br />recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon the following <br />unique findings and hardships: <br />A. The zoning lot does not meet the minimum lot area, front or rear yard <br />requirements. <br />Page 1 of 4
