At <br />that time, a final decision regarding the full scope of the responsibilities of the Director of Public <br />Services had not been made. Because of the uncertainty regarding the scope of responsibilities, <br />Greg's starting salary was set at a very conservative level. <br />Since then Greg has assumed full responsibility for all activities in the Public Services Department <br />and has demonstrated strong capabilities throughout the range of his responsibilities. Based on his <br />scope of responsibilities and strong performance, it is recommended his pay be increased to a point <br />mid-way between step 1 and step 2 of the four step Public Services Director pay range. This amount <br />is $54,800. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve a pay increase for Greg Gappa to an annual salary of $54,800. <br />w ^ >
