Tree Preservation and Reforeslntion a. The DNR has suggested that a tree preservation program be established. A tree prc.scrvntion program will be documented and will addiess transplant/reforestation strategies, protection measures to be taken during tlie grading and operation of the site, exotic species control and disease control measures. The tree preservation ploti will to be applied to all trees on the site, not just in the Big Woods area. b. The potential for ‘‘project-related change in the local water table*’ as a result of cutting the trees will be evaluated. c. Identify potential mitigation for imavoidable tree impacts, 4.Protected Waters a. I’lic rcijuirement for a Protected Waters permit is acknowledged and the application will be submitted after tlie establishment of tlic OHW by tlie DNR. The OKW will not change after die insiallation of the proposed weir. The processing period for the Protected Waters permit will not dehiy construction, as the proposed waxx c.m be installed at n later date. :>.Erosion Contiol a. The DNR requested a detailed description of tlie revegetation plan and other Best Management Practices for erosion control. The erosion control measures will specifically address steep slopes leading into wctland.s. Wc view this documentation to be supplemental information. We expect to have all of tlie informntion to you unci the Cities of Medina and Orono by or before June 30, 1997. Some of the studies referred to above will be completed as early as the week of May 12 and will be sent to you and die Cities of Orono and NTcdina upou completion.
