F" <br />0?J)INANCE NO. X6 -PAGE 2 <br />SECTION 7. SPECIFIC PUBLIC NUISANCES DEFINED.The term "Public <br />Nuisance" shall be deemed to Include the following: <br />SUBSECTION 1. Anything declared to be a public nuisance by <br />an ordinance of this village. <br />SUBSECTION 2, The depositing of refuse, waste or other <br />deleterious, poisonous or injurious substance within the harbor <br />limits of the village* <br />SUBSECTION 3* The depositing of refuse, waste or other <br />harbor 'I'imits of hhe village. <br />SUBSECTION 4. The erection or maintenance of any dock or <br />structure which interferes with, obstructs, or tends to <br />obstruct or render dangerous for use the waters within the <br />primary harbor limits of the village* <br />SUBSECTION 5* The failure to equip and to operate a boat, <br />vessel or watercraft in accordance with the proviaions of <br />Chapter 361 of Minnesota Statutes, as amended, which statutes <br />are hereby adopeed and incorporated herein and made *dpart <br />hereof by reference, as fully as if set forth herein* Pro <br />vided, however, that these additional requirements shall be <br />met by all owners and operators of watercraft within the har <br />bor limits established herein, namely: <br />A. All watercraft in use or underway betv;een sunset <br />and sunrise shall be equipped with and have mn operation <br />red and green running lights in the forward section of the <br />boat, and a white light at the stem or on the superstructure, <br />which white light shall be visible on a dark ni^t with clear <br />atmosphere for a distance of two miles from any direction. <br />Provided, however, chat motor powered watercraft under 16 <br />feet in overall length may use portable lights, which must <br />be clamped on the watercraft when in use; and, non-powered <br />watercraft may use a portable single white light which is <br />visible from any direction for a distance of two miles on a <br />dark night with clear atmosphere* <br />B. All watercraft when at anchor or drifting mist show <br />a white light visible from any direction for a distance of one <br />mile, and such li^c shall be lit from sunset to sunrise, ex <br />cept that a waterd.reft anchored in a cove within one hun <br />dred feet of shore and 200 feet away from normal navigation <br />and any watercraft anchordd at a dock or pier need not have <br />the white light lit. ^ <br />C. All watercraft shall have on board and readily acc* <br />essible life preservers, vests, or ocher similar buoyant <br />devices capable of keeping every person on board afloat.
