Introduction <br />The Ciiy Council has requested this report to dcicnnine the feusihility of coiistntcting <br />sanitary sewer and water main imprr)vcmcnts along Old Crystal Hay Road between Tiunk <br />Highway 12 and tVouiUy Road 6. as shown on Figure 1. The proposed improvements will serve <br />the new Oftrno let* ArtMiu as shown on Figure 1 <br />This report describes the sanitary sewer and water main improvements required to <br />completely serve the ice arena The proposed san.iuiy sewer and water main improvements are <br />«hown on Ingures 2 and 3. The costs of the proposed improvements are presented in the <br />appendices of this report and a cost summary is presented in the Cost Analysis section. <br />II. Summary and Recommendations <br />The construction of sanitary sewer and water main to serve the Orono Re Artuia is <br />feasible fr<tm an engineering standpoint. The project is necessary because utilities do not <br />currently exist to serve the site. The capital cost as well as operation and maimcnance firsts have <br />been considered in determining that the project is cost effective. The cost of the improvements <br />should be as.signed to the benefiting property. Orono Icc Arena. The Orono Ice Arcuia board <br />intends to waive their right to u public hearing.
