Identify any potential <br />environmer'.al hazard due to past land uses, such as soil contamination or abandoned storage <br />tanks. <br />10. <br />The area to be developed has served as a conference center or has been abandoned <br />farmland, wetland or forest land for many years. There are currently two remaining private <br />residences and an abandoned farm on the Site. Land areas to the northeast are typical <br />agricultural lands. Principal crops are com, soybean.*^ or hay. Adjacent to the remainder of <br />the Site are single family homes on large lots and hobby farms. Several nearby parcels are <br />being developed by other interests. The proposed development is in accordance with the City <br />of Orono's Comprehensive Development Plan.
