r- <br />DEC-19-199b 12:03 CITY OF LOUG LAKE <br />I * <br />612 476 9622 P.09 <br />Resid?pti>| Properties within 400 feet of proposed new highwAy n It is <br />understood that the City is requesting that the State offer to purchase residential <br />properties within 400 feet of proposed new highway 12 at their fair market value as <br />of June 1997, adjusted to reflect the average residential property value iincrease in <br />the City to the date of sale. It is further understood that the City requests that <br />property owners shall be permitted to exercise their right to sell their properties to <br />Mn/DOT for a period of up to one year from iie date that the project is complete. <br />The State will respond to any written concerns expressed by property owners whose <br />properties are not taken as a result of acquisition of the right of way but which are <br />located in proximity to the proposed conridor. If the State is not able to mitigate the <br />impact to said properties, the State will equitably evaluate the impacts to the <br />properties for determination of remedial actions which are legally appropriate. The <br />State will process the residential claims in an equitable maimer and use reasonable <br />efforts to resolve those claims to the satisVaciion of both parties. The State will <br />cooperate with the City to explore other possible solutions to address the requests of <br />the City as set forth herein. <br />Sidewalks and Trails It is understood that the City is requesting the State <br />to replace any trails lost as a result of the project and to constnict new sidewalks <br />and trails along the new corridor as designated in the City ’s Revised 1996 <br />I
