Our 24-foot-wide garage burned down January 16,1998 and had <br />been 6.2 feet away from our neighbor's property since 1963 when it was <br />originally constructed. Building the garage by city zoning codes (buildings <br />must be 10 feet away from a neighbor ’s property) would cause an undue <br />hardship as we would not be able to rebuild our 24-foot-widc garage. <br />HARDSHIP/DESCRIPTION OF UNUSUAL PROPERTY CONDITIONS <br />Describe undue hardship or practical difficulty or unusual property <br />conditions preventing compliance with Zoning Code requirements: <br />Due to our existing deck and house, we are not able to move the garage <br />further north east four feet. In order to replace the 24-foot-wide garage we <br />had before it burned down (that was 6.2 feet away from our neighbor's <br />property) a variance is needed. Due to the nature of our lot, we are not able to <br />reconstruct our 24-foot-wide garage in compliance with Zoning Code <br />requirements.
