The purpose of this action item is to amend Resolution No. 7378, the designated <br />appointments for 2023. <br /> <br />2. Background. The resignation of Council Member Seals and appointment of a new council member to <br />serve out the remainder of her term has created vacancies on the annual appointments. At the May 22 <br />council meeting the council appointed Mayor Walsh to the Long Lake Fire Advisory Commission and the <br />Fire Negotiating Committee. Further the council voted to create a Legal Committee and appointed Mayor <br />Walsh and Council Member Johnson to it. At the June 26th Meeting Council directed replacing Mayor <br />Walsh on the Fire Negotiating Committee and Fire Advisory Board with Council Member Veach. The <br />council further indicated they would like to make some further adjustments at the July 10th Meeting. <br /> <br />3. Annual Appointments. The Current Resolution is at Exhibit A. A draft, with blanks, revised <br />resolution is at Exhibit B. Staff Recommendation. I recommend the appointments be distributed a evenly as possible. I <br />recommend the School District Committee be eliminated as it has not met since 2017.
