To grant an extension to the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) approval lift station at 3447 <br />Crystal Bay Road. <br /> <br />2. Background. In December of 2021 the City Council approved a CUP for the public service lift <br />station building in the LR-1C District at 3447 Crystal Bay Road. Public service structures that are not <br />city owned are a conditional use in the LR-1C district. The Met Council currently owns a vacant parcel <br />located in the LR-1C zoning district. There is existing above ground utility infrastructure located in the <br />abutting city right-of-way to the property. <br /> <br />The Resolution of approval notes that a building permit must be issued for the building by December 6, <br />2023 or the CUP will expire. The applicant is actively working on designed final plans to construct the <br />building <br /> <br />3. Request. The applicant requests an extension for one year. <br /> <br />4. Staff Recommendation.
