BED AND BREAKFAST? WHAT IS IT? <br />A Bed and Breakfast is a private home (almost exclusively in <br />a residential area) in which the owners allow people to be their house <br />guests for a fee by prereservation. <br />The type of house guests wnich generally stay in a B&B are <br />25-80 y.o. in the middle to upper income bracket. They are looking <br />for a quiet* romantic, home as a retreat or place to celebrate a <br />special occasion ie. honeymoon, anniversary, or birthday. <br />Included with the lodging is generally an over view of the <br />home end areas history, and a full breakiast. <br />The rooms vary in decoratiens and whether or not they have a <br />private or shared bath. <br />There are as many types of B&B's as there are B&B’s. We are <br />planning a B&B similar to Thornwood in Hastings, Overlook Inn in <br />Stillwater, and Pratt Tabor Inn in Red wing. The similarities are: <br />the B&B live in the house, and the house does not have a commercial <br />kitchen (they serve a he.rty continental breakfast). <br />I <br />the home is in a residential area, the family who ownes and operates J
