Box 66 <br />Orono, Minnesota 55323 <br />Re: John Ericson Variance Application <br />1620 Shadywood Road <br />Our File Ho. 2623-01 <br />Dear Ms. Mabusth: <br />As you are aware, the undersigned represents Mr. and Mrs. John <br />Ericson in connection with their request for a variance to build a <br />home on a lot they own in the City of Orono. <br />It is my understanding that the City Planning Commission last <br />acted on this matter on April 16, 1984, and that the Commission <br />tabled the application at the request of Mr. Ericson. <br />By this letter, I hereby request that the matter be reinstated on <br />the Planning Commission Agenda, for the meeting in August. It is <br />my understanding that the August meeting will be held on <br />August 20, 1984. I would appreciate it if you would confirm to me <br />that the Planning Commission will hear this matter on that date, <br />and if you would provide me with a copy of the Agenda prior to the <br />Hearing. <br />I have reviewed your memorandum dated April 12, 1984, in which you <br />recommended to the Planning Commission Members that they deny the <br />variance request. This letter is filed in opposition to your <br />memorandum, and 1 request that it be provided to each of the <br />Planning Commissioners prior to the August Hearing. <br />First, by way of background, I believe it is appropriate to <br />examine the history of this property to obtain a genuine <br />understanding of the character of the neighborhood.
