Mabusth, we are <br />submitting the enclosed Conditional Use Permit application <br />for processing. We also make this letter a part of the <br />application.^ilin^ this Conditional Use Permit application <br />with an explanation. This action on our part in no way <br />constitutes an admission of a legal need for issuance of a <br />current Conditional Use Permit and does not constitute a <br />waiver of any legal rights in the matter. As we have pointed <br />out before and which your city records will confirm, a <br />church use has been made of this property, 525 L®®^„5tree^^^^ <br />sinc“^aFTeast 1908 and that a further Conditional Use Permit <br />was approved in 1969. Pursuant to Municipal Code of Orono, <br />Section 32.410, a Conditional Use Permit issued for a <br />particular use and not for a particular person or firm. <br />New Thought Center Inc., Church of Religious Science, uses <br />the property for church uses and is expressly, as provided <br />for by city code not required to apply for review of this <br />use of the property. Please refer to the Zoning Code of <br />Orono, Section 32.490 and our letter of December 31, 1982 to <br />Alan P. Olson, City Planner. <br />In addition we are requesting that any <br />retroactive so that our tax exempt status for 1981 and 198Z <br />can be cleared up once and for all. We received tax exempt <br />status until this whole business with the conditional use <br />permit began.
