cm OF ORCNO, MINNESOTA <br />REQjLAR PIANNING CCFMISSIGN MEEETING HELD NOVBIBER 1, 1976 <br />^le Orono Planning Conmission met on the above date with the <br />following mBobers present: Chairwoman Diane Dunlap, Members <br />George Hosfield, Brad Van Nest, John Guthrie, John Hake, <br />Gloria McDonald, Paul Pesdc, and Zoning Administrator Hank Muhich. <br />Chairwoman IXmlap announced that this was the time and place <br />for a Public Hearing on the petition of Steve Wallack (T.M.G. <br />Corporation) for a sti>division of property located at 4100 <br />Sixw Avenue North. The Zoning Administrator presented the <br />Notice of Public Hearing and the Affadavit of Publication. <br />The Zoning Adninistrator stated tiiat a previous proposal <br />submitted in 1974 consisted of 54 lots. The applicant is <br />now submitting a revised proposal for 14 lots. This is <br />quite an inprovement. The total dry buiidable area for <br />this plat is 68.41 acres vhich is 97.731 of the required <br />^ appear to be at least 300» wide at <br />the balding site and projected locations appear to meet <br />all minimum setback recpiirements. <br />Jfr. and the developer, Bruce Grivna, were present. <br />The Planning CommissiQn asked the applicant if he had coa­ <br />sted Hennepin County regarding the proposed location of <br />the curb cuts and what effects this subdivision would have <br />on the future plans for Coimty Road 6. Mr. Wallack stated <br />he ww not aware of the fact that the subdivision was to be <br />sUomitted to the Comty for their review. At the time of <br />TO last proposal, the rerouting of Hi^ay 12 was discussed, <br />out TOre was no mention of the rerouting of County Road 6. <br />The Planning Conmission was concerned about how much land <br />in this subdivision was in the flood plain and also how much <br />was acTOl wetl^ in relation to^hat is indicated on the <br />â„¢ Planning Conmission felt that a report should be <br />oMawed ^i^pm the Hennepin County Conservation District or <br />TO Jtodiaha Creek Watershed District and Hickok 6 Associates. <br />The finance states that this cost, if any, would be absoibed by the developer. <br />Also present at this meeting were quite a few surrounding <br />omers. The following came forward to identify <br />themselves: Marie Peterson, Mr. 8 Mrs. Maurice Swanson, <br />C^^lo Carruthers (name not included on the Abstractor’s <br />Wst), Mr. 8 Mrs. F. Joe Thompson, C. E. Larson, Robert <br />Gwiman and Qirt Hagfors. They were interested in seeing <br />TO map of this proposed subdivision. Robert Gehiman, <br />TOse property adjoins Lot 9 of the Subdivision, stated <br />that this area is marshy in the spring. Bill Greenwood <br />MinTO out to the Planning Comiiission the areas which <br />he felt were wet and those that were dry.
