MINUTES OF A PLANNING MEETING HELD AUGUST 2, 1976 AGE 3 <br />Mr. Joe ^bovsky was present and interested in knowing what <br />this variance was about. The Zoning Administrator informed <br />the Conmission and ^fr. Labovsky that Mr. Norwood was request <br />ing an approval of a variance of 176 sq. ft. in area to <br />build a 42* x 28' garage. This garage i>iould be used for <br />storing his recreational equipment such as boats, canpers, <br />snowmobiles, etc. Van Nest moved, (koinah seconded, to <br />recommend approval on the basis there has been no com <br />plaint on the proposal and all the individual parcels <br />have been ccmibined after having paid up all delinquent <br />taxes. ftotion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />EARL NORITOD <br />1360 VE'IE PLACE <br />VARIANCE - GARAGE AREA <br />Mr. Massengale was in attendance. The Zoning Administrator <br />pointy out tlie dimensions of the area. There is no way <br />the dimensions can be increased. Hake moved, Pesek <br />seconded, to approve this variance based on the fact there <br />is no other land avciilable and the area is sewered and has <br />v:ater. Motion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />Mr. IVhitney is requesting approval of a variance to add to <br />liis existing residence. Van Nest moved, Hosfield seconded, <br />to recomnend approval in view of tlie fact that this house <br />alrea^ exists on a non-standard lot and the proposed <br />addition would not result in any encroachment of the exist <br />ing setbacks. Ifotion - Ayes (8), Nays (0). <br />Tlie Planning Commission scheduled a Public Hearing for <br />September 7, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Ricliards was present and explained to the Commission <br />that he was planning to remodel his kitchen and add a <br />second story over that part of his house. Van Nest moved, <br />McDonald seconded, to recommend approval of this variance <br />for lot size and width for this addition inasmuch as it is <br />consistent witli the neighbors and on the condition that no <br />additional variances will be required. Motion - Ayes (8), <br />Nays (0). <br />r-fr. 6 Mrs. Shaw were present. Mr. Shaw explained to the <br />Planning Conmission tliat he received a building permit <br />for his garage about tliree years ago, and at tliat time <br />felt the garage was being built within the required <br />setbacks. Hcike moved, Pesek seconded, to recommend <br />approval based on the fact that it was built three years <br />ago with the understanding that the location met all <br />setback requirements.
