Clay loarri <br /> tcxtures were encountered in the soil borings to appro�zxnatcly 3 feet, underlain by olive brown sandy <br /> loam soil.rieh in calcium carbonate and sl�ale d��osits. The soil borings completcd within the drain field <br /> area were on slopes fram 4% � 18% with a d.ense cover of oak, aspen and maple trees. Slope <br /> �easurements were taken in three locations; I) along the entire drain fie]d area, 2) along the area of the <br /> primary site �.nd 3) alons the area of the seconda.ry szte. Thc t�uee zneasurements had an avez�age slope <br /> of just less than 18%. <br /> Evidenc� of a seasoz�.al water table was n,ot obscrved in soil borings 2-4, the area oi the �roposed OWS <br /> drain lields. 'fhe attacl�ed figures give the drain field calculations and area �equirements as well as <br /> identifying the propo5ed area for the drain �Felds. It is anticxpated that a three bedroom type 2 home will <br /> be constructed on tl,e site for an estizraated average daily ilow of 300 gallons per day. With a subsurface <br /> drain field usin�; au-► equivalence of l2 inchcs of sewer r�ck �vill require two d.rain Field sites of 528 <br /> sc�uarc feet eacb,.
