Henderson and Judy A. Henderson, husband and <br /> wife (hereinafter "the applicants") are the owners of the property located at 560 Bij <br /> Island witl�in the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") and legally described as follows: <br /> That part of Lot 4, In Kitchel's Subdivision of Govenunent Lots 5 and 6 in <br /> Section 22, Township 117 North, Range 23 West of the 5��, principal Meridian, <br /> described as follows: Commencing at the south�vest corner of said Lot 4; thence <br /> nulning north 300 feet; thence at right angles East to the easterly boundary line of <br /> said Lot 4; thence southwesterly along said line to tlze shore of Lal<e Miiuietonlca; <br /> thence Noi-thwesterly along said sliore to the point of Uegiiuzing, all on Big Island, <br /> Lalce Miiu�etoi�lca, Heiuzepin County, Miiulesota <br /> (hereinafter the "property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the applicants have made application to the City of Orono <br /> for a lot area variance to Orono Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-568 to allow <br /> constniction of a seasonal cabin on an existing vacant lot consisting of 3.33 acres of total <br /> lot area where approximately 1.1 acres of dry buildable area exists and where 5 acres of <br /> dry buildable area is noi-mally required. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br /> Orono, Miiuzesota: <br /> FINDINGS <br /> 1. This application was reviewed as Zoning File#04-3057. <br /> 2. The property is located in the RS, Seasonal Recreational District, which <br /> requires a minimum lot area of 5 dry buildable acres. The applicants' <br /> property is 3.33 acres in total area with approxiinately 1.1 acres of dry <br /> acreage. <br /> Page 1 of 6 <br />
