City Staff is in the <br /> process of reviewing the files for Big Island properties to ensure all is in order. We also <br /> researched the meaning of a section of the code that made no sense. It turn out there was a <br /> typographical error. We have now determined that if your three parcels were combined together <br /> they would qualify for a lot area variance to allow a cabin to be built on the combined property. <br /> I wanted to inform you of this because in the past year we have received an inquiry about each of <br /> your parcels. We did not inform the caller about this possibility because our review had not been <br /> completed. <br /> Big Island zoning regulations can be found in Sections 78-561 through 78-577 of the Orono <br /> Code.
