Orono Fire Needs Assessment <br />13 | Page <br /> <br />etc. This funding is used to purchase the necessary equipment to fulfill the mission and run the <br />day-to-day operations. <br />In the current economic situation, fire departments are seeing increasing expenditures and a <br />disruption in the supply chain has increased lead times for equipment and apparatus. This has <br />led to a difficulty to maintain the current delivery of service to the community, which has led to <br />the request for more funding to adequately supply the expected levels of services.
