<br />H:\ORNO\$2023 New Projects\Fee Estimate - 2023 Fox Street Construction Services.docx <br /> <br />May 3, 2023 <br /> <br />City of Orono <br />Attn: Adam Edwards <br />PO Box 66 <br />Orono, MN 55323 <br /> <br />RE: 2023 Fox Street Improvements – Construction Services <br /> <br />Dear Adam: <br /> <br />As requested, we have prepared a scope of services and estimated fee for the construction services <br />associated with the 2023 Fox Street Improvements Project. <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br /> <br />Public Coordination/Communications <br />Bolton & Menk is committed to supporting the coordination requirements of this project with qualified <br />staff and will proactively engage affected property owners and the public with timely and accurate <br />information via newsletters and website updates as desired by the City. <br /> <br />Construction Staking and Observation <br />Construction staking will be provided along with full-time construction observation (45 hours per week <br />for 6 weeks). Duties of the Construction Observer will include the following: <br />• Attendance at the pre-construction meeting and all construction-related meetings <br />• Serve as a liaison between the city and the contractor <br />• Review of the completed work to determine if the project is in general conformance with the <br />plans and specifications <br />• Review of all materials testing <br />• Maintenance of construction documentation <br />• Communication with affected property owners, as necessary, to address their construction- <br />related concerns and issues <br /> <br />Construction Administration <br />Construction administration duties will include the following: <br />• Administering a pre-construction meeting and weekly construction meetings <br />• Review of shop drawings <br />• Preparation of pay estimates <br />• Contractor Communications <br />• Liaison with City Staff and Council <br /> <br />Record drawings detailing the completed improvements as recorded by the construction observer and <br />the City of Orono’s contractor will be completed and furnished to the city in hard copy and electronic
