The purpose of this action item is to accept the vendor proposals for the installation if the <br />Information Technology (IT), Audio Video (AV) and Security Systems for the New Public Works facility <br />Project. <br /> <br />2. Background. On October 10th, 2022 Council awarded the contract to build the new Public Works <br />facility. The contract does not include IT, AV nor Security system installation. Staff solicited quotes <br />from vendors for these system installations. <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work. The scope of services includes: Installation of a fiber optic cable from the HC fiber <br />at Kelly Parkway to the new PW facility; installation of security cameras and access control systems; <br />installation of Communication/IT cabling throughout the building and installation of Audi Video systems <br />in the conference and break rooms. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The city solicited a proposal from Security and Sound for the IT, AV and Security work. Funding. Construction will be funded by the Facilities Fund. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
