-OAT CITY OF ORONO <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> ikts NO. 7362 <br /> A RESOLUTION <br /> APPROVING VARIANCES FROM <br /> MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br /> SECTIONS 78-330,78-350,78-1279,& 78-1680 <br /> FILE NO.LA23-000008 <br /> WHEREAS,on March 7,2023,David Zweber with David Charlez Designs(hereinafter the <br /> "Applicant"),applied for variances from the City Code for the property addressed 1340 Vine Place and <br /> legally described as: <br /> Lot 1,together with Canal Street and Northerly '/2 of Canal vacated adoining said Lot 1, all of Lot <br /> 2, Southeasterly 1/2 of Lot 3,and that part of Lot 13,Block 17, Saga Hill Revised,Hennepin <br /> County,Minnesota described as follows: Commencing on Northerly line of said Lot 13 at a point <br /> 25 feet Southeasterly from Southeast corner of Lot 4,Block 17, Saga Hill,Revised,Hennepin <br /> County,Minnesota;thence Southerly and parallel with Westerly line of said Lot 13 a distance of <br /> 100 feet;thence Southeasterly and parallel with Northerly line of said Lot 13,to Easterly line <br /> thereof;thence Northeasterly to Northeast corner thereof;thence Northwesterly to beginning, <br /> together with Canal Street and Northerly V2 of Canal vacation adjoining above described premises, <br /> EXCEPT that part thereof described as follows;The Southeasterly %2 of Lot 3 and those parts of Lots <br /> 2 and 13 vacated Canal Street described as follows: Commencing on the Northerly line of said Lot <br /> 13,a distance of 100 feet;thence Southerly and parallel with the Northesterly line of said Lot 13 to <br /> the Southeasterly line thereof;thence Southeaster at right angles to the Southeasterly line of said Lot <br /> 13,a distance of 32.8 feet;thence Northerly deflecting to the left 132 degrees,35 minutes,a distance <br /> of 192.35 feet;thence deflecting to the right 40 degrees,a distance of 115 feet more or less to the <br /> Northeasterly line of said Lot 2;thence Northwesterly to the Northwesterly corner of said Lot 2; <br /> thence Southwesterly along the line dividing said Lots 2 and 3 to the Southwesterly corner of said <br /> Lot 2;thence Northwesterly along the line dividing said Lots 3 and 13 to the point of beginning. <br /> (hereinafter the"Property"); <br /> WHEREAS,the Applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a lot area variance from City <br /> Code Section 78-350 in order to construct a new single-family home; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Applicant has applied to the City of Orono for variances from average lakeshore <br /> setback and 75-foot lakeshore setback from City Code Section 78-1279 in order to construct a new single- <br /> family home; and <br /> WHEREAS,the Applicant has applied to the City of Orono for a variance from hardcover within <br /> the 75-foot lakeshore setback from City Code Section 78-1680 in order to construct a new single-family <br /> home; and <br /> 1 <br />
